In summer 2022, my team led the Spotify activation that brought the energy of Spotify’s Massive Dance Hits playlist to life at Ibiza’s O Beach, merging Spotify’s brand with the island’s iconic party culture. This event elevated Spotify’s presence among Ibiza’s summer crowd through a fully branded, day-to-night pool party, headlined by international DJs Jax Jones and Jess Bays.
The takeover included immersive experiences such as a Spotify-branded beauty station, inflatables, and eye-catching stage designs like a giant headphones prop and customized LED animations, amplifying the Massive Dance Hits vibe. Highlights included a theatrical aerial show and a live setlist inspired by the playlist, creating dynamic content for attendees and influencers to share across social media.
Results exceeded expectations, generating 1.3M+ impressions on social platforms in just two weeks, driving new subscribers, and boosting playlist plays. The campaign brought Spotify’s Massive Dance Hits to Ibiza’s most vibrant audience, reinforcing its position as the go-to source for dance music this season.
